I am a professionally qualified psychotherapist registered with UKCP, a senior accredited counsellor with the BACP and a qualified supervisor. I offer counselling and supervision in a safe, secure and confidential environment.
I work in a relational way; I am committed to working with you honestly, with respect and empathy, and from a non-judgemental place. I use my skills to fully engage with you, to support and sometimes to challenge you gently, so that greater awareness is brought to the issues that impact upon you. In therapy we can explore together what is happening for you in your environment, how your needs are addressed, and what choices you can make when you access the support that you need. In my private practice I offer brief and long term therapy, in person or online, and I work with a wide range of issues.
I have more than 25 years of experience in working therapeutically and creatively. My work as a therapist and supervisor has been in a wide range of settings; counselling in schools, in community counselling services, in the NHS, and in a university counselling service, as well as in private practice.
I have combined my work as a therapist and creative practitioner with that of an educator in universities, teaching in the fields of mental health & disability, creativity & well-being. I have held teaching and supervisory roles on a postgraduate UKCP accredited training in psychotherapy and counselling, supervising trainee therapists in their professional training programme.
